Flap Surgeries

Treatment with a flap cleans the roots of a tooth and repairs bone loss caused by gum disease. A gum doctor (periodontist) or oral surgeon also performs the operation. Prior to the procedure, you will be given a local anesthetic to numb (freeze) the area where the doctor is about to operate on the gums.
